Why is my time offset by a few hours?

Are your reports showing a different time than the Timer page? Timezones are the reason; it's possible to change your time zone.

The Timer page in Toggl Track is designed to use the device time (system time) for all time-related calculations. In other words, whatever time (and time zone) is set on your computer, that is the time the Timer page will utilize.

Reports, on the other hand, are designed to display time according to the Profile page time zone setting. Without the time zone correctly set on the Profile page, you can expect your Reports to be offset for a couple of hours. The default timezone is UTC.

If you're experiencing the time zone offset please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Profile page.

  2. Check your timezone listed in your Personal Details and Preferences section

  3. If you need to, click on Account Settings and update it on the next screen.
