Where is my tracked time?

Learn where to look when it seems like your time is lost

Data loss is extremely rare in Toggl Track as we have several layers of data redundancy. Data is mirrored into a separate data center in real-time. We also make full data backups every 12 hours.

Thus, the likelihood is that your time entries are still all there, it’s just a question of finding it. Take these steps to locate your data:

Open Reports and check that the Date Picker is set to the right time period

The default date picker value is "This Week" so you might need to change the date range here in order to see your time. You can set a default for the date picker as well.

If you do see your data inside a Toggl Track app (mobile or desktop), but entries are not appearing in Reports, it may be that your app is suffering from syncing issues.

In that case, please do not log out of the app as it may cause data loss. Instead, try to force a sync and contact Toggl Track support via the chat button in the bottom right corner.

Double-check that you are in the correct organization and/or workspace

Reports in Toggl Track are workspace-specific --  meaning you need to generate a separate report for each of your workspaces.

You can switch between Workspaces and Organizations by clicking on the workspace selector in the top-left corner and selecting the relevant organization/workspace inside the sub-menu that opens.

Check whether you're logged into the correct Toggl Track account

Perhaps you have a work account and a personal account? Since we don't require email confirmation, it's not uncommon for users to create a new account instead of logging in.

Still can't find your data? Please contact our Support team by clicking on the purple chat icon in the bottom right corner of this page to start a chat.
