Time Tracking Reminders and Project Alerts

Time tracking reminders and project alerts help you make sure time gets logged and projects stay within expected limits.

Time tracking reminders

Use time tracking reminders to notify people when logged time has not reached a threshold you define.

Time tracking reminders are a Premium feature

Set up a time tracking reminder

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select the recipient type:
    • User roles
    • Teams
    • Individual members
  3. Choose whether the reminder should be daily or weekly.
  4. Set the hours threshold that should be met.
  5. Save the reminder. If the threshold is not met, the recipient receives an email reminder to check their time.

Project alerts

Use project alerts to notify the right people when tracked time passes a defined threshold.

Project alerts are a Starter feature.

What project alerts support today

  • Time estimate alerts are available now.
  • Fixed fee / budget-related alerts are planned for later.

Set up a project alert at workspace level

  1. Go to the workspace-level alert settings.
  2. Choose the threshold.
  3. Choose the recipient:
    • Project manager by default
    • Teams
    • Individual members
  4. Save the alert. If tracked time exceeds the selected threshold, an email alert is sent.

A workspace-level alert applies to every project.
