# What causes organizations to get suspended?

For an organization to be suspended the following conditions need to be met:

* The Organization needs to be over its free plan user quota.
* The latest invoice has remained unpaid for 7 or more days, or the Organization subscription has been canceled.

**To un-suspend the organization** you need to update the [payment details](/how-to-update-the-payment-details) or reduce the number of active users. 

**Note:** On a paid plan, your active user count and license count are different things. Un-suspending is about active users, but your bill won't shrink until any vacant licenses are also removed — see [Understanding licenses in Toggl Track.](https://support.toggl.com/en-us/article/understanding-licenses-in-toggl-track-jk034e/)

While an organization is suspended you won't be able to track any new time within the organization. However, you can still...

* Generate reports.
* Edit users on the [Team page](https://track.toggl.com/team/members).

***Note:*** *If you are on our Enterprise plan, have multiple workspaces under on Organization and downgrade your Organization to Premium, Starter or Free, we will suspend all but the oldest Workspace in the Organization.*
